Our Beliefs

What we Believe

We believe the Scriptures are the divine, inerrant Word of God,
breathed by the Spirit,
written through the hands of men, and are still true and applicable to our lives today.

We believe there is only One True God, revealed in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

We believe in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As God’s son, born of the virgin Mary, Jesus was both human and divine.

We believe though originally good, Man willingly fell to sin,
ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

We believe every person can have restored fellowship with God through Salvation.
This comes through faith in Christ Jesus alone.

We believe and practice two ordinances:
(1) Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and
(2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit indwells the believer at the point of salvation, and empowers the believer through the Gifts of the Spirit, as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

We believe Sanctification initially occurs at salvation
and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from sin as believers continually draw closer to God and become more like Christ.

We believe that followers of Christ are responsible for reaching the world with the Good News of Christ’s salvation.

We believe that healing and other miracles are alive and active today,
predicated upon God’s sovereign will.

We believe that the day is coming when Jesus will return
to collect His followers to be with Him for eternity.
